Charlene M.'s Story
Life
I life in the beautiful South, Alabama to be exact. Married with two grown children and a very old but great dog who will be passed down to my grandchildren should I have any. Kasey the dog does not overwork herself and conserve engergy every chance she gets. My children consist of one son and one daughter, my son is single and doing very well in the food service business and my daughter is an accountant like me. My husband is retired military, retired railroad marketing manager and has started a new career with a very large very modern steel mill here in Decatur. I am a regional controller for a fortune 200 company, travel a great deal with my job and personally. I have decided to continue my education and start my PHD next Janaury. If all goes well it will be in International Business, as our company has many enterprises in South America, one in Europe and is in the process of getting into the Asisan Market.
Life has been hard at times, but it has also been very good, the travel, my marriage and the two great children have made it all worth while. This is my second marriage, we have been married for 19 years. My husband is very supportive of my studies and my ...Expand for more
career, he is also my best friend and biggest cheer leader when times get tough (accountants do have a hard life).
That is a dime size look at what I have been doing for the past 35 years. Wow has it been that long?
It has been another while since my last update, but here we go. I am working for FOX as an Asst. General Manager of three of their TV stations in AL, all their stations have AGM, our CEO/President holds the titile of GM. It is a great job with something different happening each day. My favorite part is working with our News Team, they are awesome, plus I have the best staff in the whole group of stations...
But the BEST THING TO HAPPEN is the Birth of my first grandchild--Brady. He is so happy and looks just like my son-in-law with this mom's eyes. What a great feeling to have this precious little baby given to us by our little baby girl. Wow where has the time gone. Who would have thought you could love another child even more than your own little ones. Even with the tough times, Life is Good.
Oh by the way we are still working on the little house, I keep changing my mind on what I did the last time. Oh well it is a work of LOVE. My best to all.
